Jennifer Humala
Jennifer is a young freelance filmmaker and photographer born and raised in New York. As a small child she would always create her own skits and act them out to her parents. Ever since then, growing up as an aspiring actress, she involved herself and volunteered her time in plays and choruses such as Grease and To Kill A Mockingbird. As her interest in acting pursued, she indulged herself by watching a variety of movies. Pondering about the work done behind the camera, she acquired her first camera and started experimenting. This interest has led her closer to the arts and the industry of filmmaking. She attended the Art Institute of New York City where she graduated with an A.A. in Directing/Writing. She has networked with various faculty and students, been on various sets from fashion to short films, and has familiarized herself with various equipment at the A/V Equipment Center where she worked at. Aside from Drama, she developed a close interest in fashion through video. Her WCV Fashion Film was nominated and screened at the Alpha Channel Film Festival. She has interned at Kerm&Me for onset and editing productions and has worked for ShootNYC on their annual event holding seminars with professional photographers and equipment with the help of Hasselblad and Broncolor. Already having an eye for photography, working with them has helped empower her to continue with different perspectives and possibilities she can create through photography.
